 REFLECTİON TASK 1.b

PAVEMENT PICASSO, JULIAN BEEVER

He is a British artist who was born in 1959.I choose him because I think he deserves to be recognized more. He is a street artist. He is best known for his three-dimensional pavement creations. He first designs his drawings on paper, he uses chalk to draw pictures on pavement, per  picture, he works 3 days aproximetely.

His works are so realistic that sometimes passerbys step out of the way so that they would not fall in.

Madame Butterfly

Beever uses a projection technique called anamorphosisto create the illusion of three dimensions. He uses eye tricks, his art appears just when looked from the right angle.

Beevers always takes a photograph to preserve the drawing because eventually weather and urban crowds wear the pictures away. He says "If it rains, it means I have done a lot of hard work for nothing."

His works can be seen across the world, now he lives in Belgium. Also, in 2010 he released a book named Pavement Chalk Artist.

  3. Hi Esra,
It's really nice to hear about the people doing these kinds of awesome works. I think you organized your writing well and gave enough imformations about him. Also, the pictures you shared about his works are great. I looked each of them for a long time but couldn't get any clues about how most of them are done. It was fun to read, thanks..
